My Cape Town Adventure: Farm Life, Fresh Food, and Pure Bliss
Cape Town has stolen my heart once again! This is my third time visiting, and I just can't get enough of this place. Back home in Wisconsin, February means freezing temperatures, so I knew I had to escape the cold. Here in South Africa, it's summer, with warm days in the 70s and 80s—absolutely perfect! This trip is extra special because I recently launched my travel business, Ashley Limitless ~"Where adventure ignites the spirit and limits fade away." I had a gut feeling that Cape Town would be the perfect place to create travel content, promote my business, and, of course, relax and enjoy every moment.
Embracing Farm Life
For the first part of my trip, I chose to stay on a farm. Cape Town is famous for its beautiful vineyards and farmlands, and I wanted to experience something different. Allemanskloof Farm, where I’m staying, is pure peace. Waking up to the sounds of nature, breathing in the fresh air, and being surrounded by open space—it’s exactly what I needed.
One of my favorite things about farm life is the fresh food! There are chickens that lay eggs daily, and I can pick vegetables straight from the garden—eggplant, peppers, lemons, tomatoes, and more. Eating clean is important to me, and having access to fresh, organic food is a dream come true.

Finding Balance
Even though I love the farm, I’m still a city girl at heart. In the past six days, I’ve taken two trips into the city for grocery shopping and to explore the malls. But most of my time has been spent enjoying the peaceful farm life, grounding myself by walking barefoot in the mornings, meditating outdoors, and working on my travel business.
This experience has been incredible—connecting with nature, caring for animals, eating amazing food, and having the time to reflect and recharge. If you're ever in Cape Town and want a unique stay, Allemanskloof Farm is available on Airbnb—I highly recommend it!
Stay tuned for more of my Cape Town adventures!
